To ensure a balanced approach between flexibility and commitment, the following rules apply:
- Cancelling a Gig more than 24 hours in advance has no associated cost.
- Cancelling within 24 hours of the Gig start time will result in the full cost of the Gig being charged.
Reliability is key. When a meryter accepts a Gig, they commit professionally and begin building their reputation. In case of cancellation or no-show, the following measures apply:
- Cancellations within 48 hours of the Gig: a yellow incident badge is activated and remains visible for 1 month.
- Cancellations within 8 hours or no-shows: a red incident badge is activated and remains visible for 3 months.
These badges are cumulative and visible to companies, who may choose to block Gig invitations to meryters with incident records. Incident badges also affect level progression, which can impact the hourly rate.
merytu was designed to be simple and accessible. There are no setup, subscription, or usage fees.The company only pays the hourly rate set by function and experience level within the app, with a minimum duration of 4 hours per Gig.
Professional quality is ensured through a two-phase process:
- Legal pre-approval: verification of documentation and legal compliance.
- Ongoing qualification: based on merit, ratings, performance history, and a smart-matching algorithm that ensures the right fit for each Gig.
The entire process is monitored by a dedicated support team that oversees every stage of the Gig lifecycle.
The payment model is tailored to the company’s usage volume:
- Standard accounts: payment per Gig using a credit/debit card or MB Net via the app. The charge is processed after the service is completed.
- High-volume accounts: payment may be made via direct debit or bank transfer, depending on prior agreement with the unit.
